Come Meet the Man Who…

All she ever wanted was to avoid the truth about herself …to forever hide and keep covered all that she ever did.

Then she met HIM. And she ran to invite, exhort, and encourage anyone and everyone to come and meet THE MAN who told her everything she ever did.

Time Machine #14 #8

Joey (a.k.a. Romulus) had done it. Suzie was dubious about this whole thing from the very beginning, but now she was past the point of no return. She had given her word. …But, was this really going down? It wasn’t the time travel part of the equation that was bothering her, it was the “stop the tragedy” part that had her nervous. Yes, on the one hand, it seemed like “the right thing to do”, but should they be doing this? She married Romulus because he was a “really really nice guy,” and he was a no-nonsense benevolent humanitarian. She certainly felt that the people responsible were evil, and that there was something inescapably tragic about that moment in history …but at the same time, she couldn’t help but feel as if it was meant to be. Was that horrible of her to think such a thing? She wasn’t religious or anything like that, but she had this HAUNTING SUSPICION that – for some reason – the event NEEDED to happen, and it might be very wrong for them to meddle and go through with this attempt to stop it from happening. From a distance it had always been easy to decry the event in its entirety, and insist that it would’ve been better had Pilate simply done his job! But now that they were actually on the brink of going back to do something definitive about it …honestly she just wasn’t confident in their gameplan anymore.

Josophilus was picking his nose at a stop light next to an Asian man driving an SUV. Then the light turned green and off they went. At the next stop light Josophilus was parallel to a Caucasian man driving an SUV, and so Josophilus did not pick his nose (even though he wanted to). Is this an instance of devaluing a person, or is this the shame a person feels when in the presence of a member of their own ethnicity and they are not abiding by the social norms and customs of their particular culture?

Keep the Sabbath. Tend to Creation. Adore the Creator.

*Without silent reverence and robust written Word of God worship on Sundays, and sincere Christian society/community/offensive family, there is no true spirituality.

:::

SABBATH:  We must stop running around long enough to see what He has done, and to see what He is doing; and we must shut up long enough to hear what He has said and to listen to what He is saying.

:::

WORK & SABBATH: they are inseparably necessary, and they are both designed to cultivate the fear of the Lord.

:::

SABBATH: Our work must embrace the grace of Sabbath interruption. …B/C our souls are stabilized and satisfied by what we cannot take up and what we cannot take charge of. *The Sanity of Souls Hinges on Keeping the Sabbath.

:::

*We make work and idle when we limit it to the dimensions of our egos and control.

Exodus 32 is an example of people who want to “get something out of worship” …something seen and novel and exciting …like the gaudy stuff they lusted after in Egypt.

:::

Sabbath literally means stop; quit; shut up; notice …it is a deliberate interfering with our work to get us to observe, be in awe of God and HIS work, and reverently pay attention.

Trembling is the first step in the process of adoration.

Imagination is the intuition of God’s creation.

Parables=truth – – – > they prove the truth [simple illustrations that unavoidably – childlike – reveal the plain/obvious paradoxical facts!]  …&, subsequently, they prove the truth of man’s absolute reluctance and hardness of heart …man’s absolute resoluteness to NOT believe God …man’s determination to follow his own nose.
