Hey bro. Looking forward to meeting w/ you and Schnee for prayer triad this evening. …This communication is in ref. to the Sermon & Service plan for this upcoming Sunday 3/20 (Palm Sunday).  PALM BRANCHES are the symbol of VICTORY – so songs that have to do with VICTORY are in order. …*Be Thou My Vision mentions Victory (and the passage has much to do with ‘How we perceive & see reality’ – specifically as we have been given a new primary and more fundamental identity as Citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven!). The passage talks emphatically of our SECURITY and SATISFACTION in Christ Alone. *What songs come to mind that address and emphasize these themes? …The title of the sermon is “The Society of Heaven” and the outline is – – – > I. The Seal (God’s Seal).  II. The Sealed (the ppl of God …how many are there? …and who are they [i.e. what KIND of ppl are we talking about] *come ye sinners would be fitting here).  III. The Society of Heaven (ppl who rest secure in the salvation that is theirs – found in Christ Alone, and SAVOR the story of their salvation.  PPL who believe w/ all their heart, soul, mind, and strength that their status and standing in the presence of God rests NOT in their own merit – but in the Merit Mercy & Grace found in Christ Alone).
